Girl the only meaning of this is stockholm syndrome and that's also in a bunch of yaoi nowadays. "Media literacy is down" and we're talking about a victim of seme's cruelty all throughout his life and when the uke became like literally other uke who developed stockholm and the readers got mad, you're saying that media literacy is down? Bffr bro.
It's literally about the cycle of hatred and racism being rooted in illogical thought processes to the point where even the perpetrator doesn't genuinely believe those arguments on a deeper level, particularly when faced with a close relationship with a person who fundamentally is no different than you. Both characters are forced to look at each other through these incredibly human lenses of experience and forced an understanding of eachother as individuals and not concepts. The series has consistently addressed these themes by over lapping human and demon stereotypes over each other on both of our MCs. They see each other as both ugly and both beautiful, a complicated painful dichotomy.
Girl no, the story does address those racism by how the people discriminate on Imae tribe, but no they're not " a complicated painful dichotomy" of each other. The seme might be worse but the uke is not that better. Uke was there to assassinate the seme using his "venom" which we all know isn't real but that doesn't mean the intent vanishes. Calling them a "complicated dichotomy" is reaching it because there's no complicated stuff here, their literal dichotomy is being an "abused and abuser", "killer and a victim". "Both character are forced to look each other through these incredible human... as individuals and not concepts" but the seme never had this understanding. He just likes the uke plain and simple. Iirc he felt sorry for the uke alone, not to the whole village he killed. He's still cruel to everyone except for the uke, which really doesn't align to your sentiments. Ofc those themes you speak of about human and demon being enforced to MC because that's his literal character. He's half human, half demon, who just happens to be pretty and got pretty privileged from seme. You're over analysing the wrong story bro.
media literacy IS down. this is about redemption, its about the uke realising the seme can be “human”, that he can be redeemed. thats why the uke has an entire monologue about how the seme should just apologise and that would be done with. he wanted to give the seme a chance, thats not stockholm syndrome - he chose to save him. im not belittling his trauma, he did go through shit and he still had a clear mind until the very end to complete his mission to assassinate the seme but yet he’s realised that there is chance in him, there is a chance of him being warm-blooded. the uke wants to give the seme this chance to change, the uke said so himself that he would save the seme if he just apologised to his mother for what happened that day, he allowed himself to give the seme a choice, which he wasnt supposed to but his morality and conscience did the best of him, to give him a chance. this is all about giving a person a chance, garon never got another chance for redemption, no one to tell him whats right and what was wrong. that was until uke came and made him realise. made him differ his mind about a lot of things, the uke knows his impact on garon so he decides to use it for good, for the good that could happen with garon. the uke wouldve NEVER done this if garon went ahead with the mountain hill plans to destory the area (where ukes mothers grave is). but the fact that garon changed his mind because of what the uke said solely means so fucking much. it means he isnt all just a cold-blooded sociopathic/psychopathic tyrant, he has control, discipline, especially when it comes to the uke. this prompts the uke to realise that he can change garon, and garon not going through with his prior plans and instead, stopped them entirely for the uke alone, means that the uke knows that theres still hope. and so he gives him this chance at the very end, to redeem himself as ukes morality and consciousness overweighs his death compared to what feats garon may achieve in the future, the possibility of good, the possibility of actually teaching him right from wrong which would then influence garons character to be ultimately better, the possibility of love and finally, a relationship - as their feelings turn mutual towards the end, ukes feelings would then shine as garon improves more, overall improving their stature together. you obviously didnt understand the plot and what happened in the last few chapters, dawg its DOOWNNN! also no beta so i hope my grammar is fine <//3

yall hating caus u just dont understand the meaning of this chapter like at ALL
