We need more stories like this that explores RL relationship issues (feeling inferior to your partner). I remember 2 other manga with a similar theme, but they all have the same problem=lack of depth in the romance and character development.
I get why some readers are frustrated with Misaki, but he feels very realistic. He could have handled things better as an adult (unlike when they were still students) but it’s human to repeat mistakes and struggle with insecurity.
Some comments said they relate to him, with one mentioning they’re from animation school too. I relate to feeling burned out, stepping away from your profession, and getting a simpler job, with people being disappointed at you for "wasting" your degree.
On the other hand, Kaname seems like an ideal partner, devoted and forgiving. He loved Misaki for so long, which is rare these days when many people cheat or give up easily.
I just wish both characters had a bit more personality and depth.
Still, it’s a good manga with a strong premise. Better than many BL stories that romanticize rape or adult–minor (or barely legal) relationships. I just wish it has more chapters to develop more depth and more romance.
