Basically?
Guideverse is a bad name is more guide/esper verse
Basically espers or hunters or awakened whatever they will be called in the manhwa will be people with super powers however the more they use it the more they go crazy and might explode in many ways
Guides filter that energy by touch and even better by sex
Usually hunters/espers get obsessed with the guides they're most well matched because the purification goes smoothly if not pleasurable
Usually ml will be this one overpowered esper that no other Guide could match properly so he is always in pain with or without guiding and he is ready to die a terrible death soon and cause some disaster while it, but mc shows up and even thought they are average guides they will match like 100% and ml will be like you're mine now forever

You know how omegaverse is an evolution from concepts seen in the TV show firefly that later got developed into wolf traits from supernatural werewolfs and eventually you see the very first omegaverses being born from supernatural fanfiction and doujins and eventually it becomes its own thing?
Basically theres this one show called the sentinel where the main character has almost animalistic senses of sight hearing etc and he has a friend that anchors his humanity his "guide" eventually this concept also got extrapolated on fanfictions those above human senses became esper abilities and the guide became a more necessary existence for the espers, probably it was heavily influenced by omegaverse

Wait but what's with the whole a-class, b-class guide thing. Is it just how well they are are absorbing the energy or whatever

Its kinda like if an esper was S class he'd need a S/A-class guide to filter their unstable energy for it to be efficient/effective. There's some where guides are lower class like C that can help filter as well if their match rate is high.
S-esper + S-guide + 13% match rate = inefficient/ineffective/unpleasant/painful guiding.
While....
S-esper + C-guide + 97% match rate = pleasant/calming/efficient/semi-efficient guiding.

Classes by order is S, A, B, C, etc and it's based on how strong their abilities can be with S being stronger/has more abilities and more likely to overuse abilities which can cause a rampage. Rampages typically mean their energy is soooo unstable that they can explode/destroying everything in sight as they lose all reason.

Imprinting can also be used in guideverse where they're basically monogamous with who they're guiding/receive guiding from.

The “a class” “b class” thing is basically just how strong of a guide/esper they are.

A is better than b, and b is better than c. But “S class” is considered the best (some stories with have “SS class” as a rare one). Usually A class guides can more easily guide an A class esper compared to a b class guide. It might be confusing at first but I promise it’s super easy to understand I actually LOVE Guideverse stories

They also usually explain it in a lot of the stories anyway. I jumped right in and didn’t care to figure it out beforehand lol
