I dont think he will get bored of him, he wanted stability (at least in the relationship) he didnt want to take the world he just wanted to have fun with his partner without a care, he likes the challenge but he doesnt want to actually act on it because its troublesome, even tho he is a genius he just want to lazy around and enjoy life with some good stuff and shopping
