honestly im not too critical about this because there's always rational explanations for behaviors and ppl growing up the way they do so im not that stuck up to just be in a linear pov where just bc the story says the mc wants to be a homebody doesn't mean she's immediately turned off her brain and not care about everything around her esp when she's known more about working than resting so.....
