So if that's the case why use the bottoms fear of abandonment against him? The top chooses to put his feelings first and gives the silent treatment when an omega is around, gets pissed if he sees the bottom even talking to someone. He's aware that the bottom doesn't want him to leave but constantly hangs it over his head, like it makes no sense.
At the end of the day it's the top who basically made it out to be that a relationship between them cannot exist if it's not a romantic one. When the bottom decides to give that a try, the top starts to realize it's forced and instead of fixing that, he's constantly throwing tantrums, giving the silent treatment (something that is starting to look rather obvious that the bottom hates) and then, knowing he's in a relationship with an Alpha, comes home with another alpha's scent and blatantly lies about it. Just because the top chooses to not take the relationship he begged for seriously doesn't mean the alpha wouldn't get pissed about that. That was valid imo.
The only fault I'll give the bottom was taking this romantic relationship on in the first place at this point. He's better off resolving his issues and cutting the top off for sometime. The top can figure out their housing and financially situation on their own atp. With everything that's going on the bottom has never used that against him and I hope it stays that way.
