I believe the throwing away the forget me nots was something very symbolic. The ml gave the mc forget me nots (mc didn’t know it was from ml tho) anyways so I think the fact the author included him throwing out the forget me nots says more than we realize. I don’t really care who our mc ends up with as long as he’s happy so I’m not trying to grasp at any strings for the second ml or anything
