Exactly my thoughts. If Max weren’t the “male lead” mixture of handsome, well-behaved, patient, probably rich, and well-endowed, their interaction would stop at ch. 3 (rightfully so, since Jinhong has the right to be suspicious of strangers), but at least he worked out for him.
