This was... incredible. Damn. I really don't know how else to put it. I kind of loved (in a cruel, kind of heartbreaking way) how Adain pulled back from Jonak after hearing his story and kind of blaming himself/thinking he, himself, had been ostensibly just as much of an opportunist. How their immortality makes this stew for so, so long too... when eventually, all they really needed was one day to bare the loneliness they felt in order for Adain to understand he didn't need to see Jonak through any past lens, anymore.
All I could've wished for was an extra or two, just to see them being lovey-dovey~~~ but alas, I'm also fine with the way things are. I love this story to bits!!
