Bada is a legit NPC, his trope is the character who gives the group directions/greeting them at the beginning/tutorial part of the game, at the end of s1 it revealed the true beginning of the game which is outside the mountain and Bada with his motorcycle greeted the group until Doha dragged his ass with them when he learned that Bada is a horror fan and knows pretty much every trope and proved to be incredibly helpful. The other guys are NPC but only temporary because they don’t have their cassette tapes running + they’re tired, they’re the true players for many reasons I can’t say bc I wanna keep this short, they all had those cassette tapes right from the beginning and they keep their memories intact as well, unlike Bada he may be able to remember his recent memories but anything before and beyond he’s forgotten them and is continuously fading which is the flaw and proof that he wasn’t supposed to be playing the game at all.

And also in case anyone forgot— atp we still can't say Bada is an npc for sure. If we think about it, if a player's tape is removed they'll also act as npcs. Soooo what's the difference really between npc Bada and the players that removed their tapes? For all we know Bada could have been in the game first before Doha and the others arrived. Also, we've all been duped by the unreliable narrator + they really have no idea about what's going on other than the goal of getting out of the game, so it's safer to assume they're also unreliable.

- that's because WHENEVER Bada became aware of inconsistencies, Doha and SC had to erase his memory REPEATEDLY whenever he started questioning things. This is from the author's official game rules: "If a tape stops or is removed at the time a new round starts, the character will lose their memory of the previous round." Since his tape has been tampered with numerous times, he has big memory gaps.
