I get why Byul is feeling this way, his father being famous put pressure on him. He’s spoiled by his mother but she hasn’t their full side of the story either. He seeked the comfort he wanted from his parents but couldn’t get from them. His dad is more focused on his wife and the mom is very focused on herself and kids second. Byul had to live with hearing he was an accident, he wasn’t good enough to be an idol because he wasn’t his dad. His self esteem is low, he’s hurt and he’s YOUNG! He hasn’t lived his life fully like his parents. So I think he can still grow as a person. That being said, his mom is under NO obligation to forgive his mother, Byul’s father was wrong for talking to the grandmother and supporting her behind hyesung’s back, and Byul needs to apologize to his mother, say his true feelings, tell his parents what is REALLY wrong. As for his relationship with his grandmother, I personally don’t think that’s cool he’s doing it behind his mother’s back and needs to be upfront about it if he still wants to have one and his mother has the right to stay distant.
