My Thoughts

Okay, so obviously there will be a season 3 as the author has mentioned that she was going to end it after three seasons. And, there was a huge cliffhanger.

So far, here’s what I think:

Hee-Seo is honestly a piece of shit. But, I admittedly feel bad for him and want him to have his happy ending with Tae-Kyung even after all the horrible things he did to him. I feel as though I can’t help but root for him considering he lost his mom and that was all he had until he met Tae-Kyung. I want Hee-Seo to be happy with Tae-Kyung but with the way he abuses him it just freaks me out. Because Hee-Seo raped Tae-Kyung many times, he assaulted him, and almost murdered him. Even if Tae-Kyung is seemingly fine with it all now it still doesn’t make Hee-Seo any better and this redemption arc he has going on doesn’t cancel out all the bad. But as I said, because you see Hee-Seo lose time and time again you can’t help but hope for a win? So part of me wants him to end up with Tae-Kyung but part of me wants him as far away from him as possible.

Tae-Kyung deserves much better. After learning his backstory you see that he had such a tough upbringing. He grew up in a group home, was stolen from, shut out, and deceived. And even after all of that he still was an incredible guy and did incredible things to hel others out. We see that with Hee-Seo. For years he watched him grow up, gave him presents on his birthdays, paid for his (i believe) child support, and even takes Hee-Seo in after he burned down his foster family’s home. Hes just an incredible upstanding guy and he deserves the world. It’s so hard and disgusting seeing as Hee-Seo slowly breaks him down into some sort of shell for the first half of this story. And even then, Tae-Kyung kept him around and cared for him all up until the moment he was stabbed by him. And even after that, he STILL thought of Hee-Seo and never harbored any hate for him. I know now Tae-Kyung claims he cannot be without Hee-Seo and indicates that he loves him and is happy with him, but I still don’t want him with someone like that. It just seems like maybe hes experience some sort of Stockholm syndrome.

My theories:

1. I think maybe this next season will tie up some loose ends. As we see, Tae-Kyung is back to being a prosecutor and is speaking on his “Mother’s” murders she committed. So obviously she is found guilty. But, shes 99% (could be wrong so…) so really nobody is getting justice except for Hee-Seo considering it’s indicated that he’s the one who killed her.

2. Hee-Seo is dead? As we saw in the last chapter, a car explodes and when we saw inside the car before that Hee-Seo was in there too. I don’t think the author would kill him off considering hes one of the MC’s but you never know. We never see him leave the car.

3. Hee-Seo and Tae-Kyung are together. If Hee-Seo lived then maybe him and Tae-Kyung are together. As we last saw. Tae-Kyung is deeply affected by Hee-Seo’s presence and when he’s not there he sort of freaks out. So maybe now that hes back to a prosecutor theyre together now?

4. Tae-Kyung was faking it. In the story they go to the hospital and Tae-Kyung calls his brother and gives a note to the nurse. He is very obviously trying to be found. But, after they get back from the hospital he becomes extremely clingy with Hee-Seo and indicates that he may be in love with him and that he would love to stay with him forever and maybe even go out of the country to live abroad with one another. But, why would he give all those clues to his brother as to where to find him if he genuinely felt this way? Maybe he was trying to be convincing to Hee-Seo so it would be easier for him to leave? Idk.

Anywho, lastly, I love the plot of this story. The dark romance tied in with the murder mystery and action. It’s just amazing and it keeps you on your toes. ALSO, his because I like the plot that does NOT mean that I like what Tae-Kyung had to experience. I would never ever wish for anyone to go through that and It’s horrible that he did. Well, those are my final thoughts.
