it might sound really weird to say but I am actually pleasantly impressed with how it’s portrayed and not taken lightly in how wicked this dynamic is according to the story.
I am really fond of greek mythology as well which is why I am kind of excited to see how close it will actually be to the story.
I am fond of mythology too! We know where this will go and I hope the author brings justice (whichever path they may choose).
The characters' flaws and whims are beautifully shown here. How reason is above all else yet untamed love and passion is also beyond reason.

oh so it is called laurel/bayleaf in English. In my language it is called "defne ağacı (defne tree )" which is pretty similar to pronunciation of daphne.
So I am fond of mythology specifically about greek gods, and apollo has 2 lovers and that is hyacinthus— the man whose very loved by apollo and died. Hence, infamous hyacinth flower— and Nymph Daphne. For those who don't know, apollo loved and stalked her but every advance he made to daphne, she rejects it so much that she begged her own father to be a tree to escape apollo, that also known as Laurel tree (bay leaf). Apollo took the tree and planted it in his domain or land which now symbolizes victory etc. (funfact: laurel/bayleaf used as an insignia like in graduation, mostly used in italy AND they also used in traditional medicine for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties to help with various health issues like digestive.)
You got the gist on how the story may end or may not end the way it should be (depending if the author chose to change the ending since there's no tragedy tag) Daphne's character got so depth that i also know what she feels in her situation, her loyalty and her clarity but for all reason she got the idea that "why am i suddenly hate him?" And "why does he suddenly love me?" Which apollo may got the hint of what's happening but he's not the brightest bulb bc bfr he thinks what he's doing is for her sake and he's above of all else to THINK feelings? Is a waste of time for him.
