Honestly I don't understand some ppl complaining about the misunderstanding. Yes, usually, in these types of stories it's frustrating and just used bc the author wants some cheap conflict BUT in here it actually makes sense.
Sihyun learn from his mother that, in these situations you can't show your feelings or they'll lose interest in you bc you're being "too annoying/clingy", so ofc he won't just tell Joohwan how he truly feels. For Joohwan as well, bc Sihyun says it's just a casual thing and he doesn't want anything serious, so he thinks that if he tells the truth it'll be basically saying he likes him and that (based on what sihyun has told him) means he loses him.
So is it annoying? Yes, a bit, but I think it's way way better than what authors usually write and at least makes sense to the characters and their beliefs/past experiences/what they currently know.
