Guys I just wanna say, many people on other sites were hating on MC for throwing his weapon during this fight, saying it’s illogical because he’s a teacher and should know better but before anyone does that here, I just wanna mention some things from novel.
Hee-Jae mentions that he’s still unused to sword at times and in particular when he fought Alex Hope, the length of the sword was different then what he was used to so he missed cutting him few times.
Throwing a spear is perfectly normal! At least, in Hunter Hong‘s fighting style because he also threw it just few chapters ago!
Also Hee-Jae was trained well and would sometimes enter dungeons because his father wanted him to have actual experience, but he was still mostly on desk job job.
Even if he didn’t throw the sword, it wouldn’t stop the explosion that Bloom caused. Once runes are activated with mana and it won’t stop even if mage dies in that split second.
Also Bloom was strong enough to wound mr Han like this, who is apparently second strongest awakened after Hunter Hong (Hee-Jae not counting) and all that while he was also injured.
This situation isn’t simply „MC should know better, why did he spare him / why did he throw his sword“ so I hope the comments stay like this instead of being toxic #-.-)
