Lmaooo I cackled when I saw that too. I grew up a couple minutes from La Jolla Cove, I’m pretty sure that’s where they were trying to say. I assumed that it was the translator not quite knowing and guessing wrong.

okay I know this isn't the point but as someone from CA I must say... did the author mean La Jolla Coves lol it is a bit further south than LA but it is also known for sea lions! and the name is pronounced similarly... breaks my heart that Hyeonji never got to see it
