This might just me projecting some deeper meaning onto the recent chapter - but when the sis explained how Mia knows how to defend herself and what not, and it showed her almost being caught by this marine... Like the overlapping of those 2 scenes makes me think that Mia wouldn't be helpless at all (we just didn't get to see anything in that moment bc the boys handled it). Mermaid magic was already mentioned as well as the sister's suspicions about how mermaids couldn't have been pure war victims, so I'm thinking that homegirl can become a weapon that she doth not dare use based on cinnamon roll levels of kindness and naivity. That's my head cannon for now anyway- Can you tell how hard I'm hyperfixating on this story?
