Not to defend this but...

I just read until chapter 15 and I think this is an adaptation/reinterpretation and not a retelling. It becomes a new version of the original myth. If you don't like the idea then maybe don't read it?

As for me, I don't like the toxicity so far so I'll wait until this is completed. Lol

Tbh I don't mind the retelling. I already read a bunch or Greek myth around Persephone and Hades, I think it was time someone picked a different God for once.

Especially because I couldn't find anything about how Apollo and Daphne met from the original myth, so it's really interesting how the story is going and to showcase just how strong Eros' arrows are. I can't imagine going from being so infatuated with someone to suddenly feeling sick at only the thought.

And, to be fair, I don't mind the toxicity. It's Greek myth, Zeus became a swan to sleep with someone. The idea that the arrow of love made Apollo so in denial with her rejection depicts so well the tragedy of the original and of consequence the power he looked down onto.

(Also I'm a big Eos fan, I'm going to her page so much just to love how they depicted her and loving how her dress is the starry sky.)
