I can understand Byul’s outburst. We’ve all said things we didn’t mean in the heat of the moment. At least he recognizes that what he said was wrong and hurtful, because it simply wasn’t true. Hyesung may have stepped away for a moment, but he came back and took responsibility as a parent. Not many parents are able to come to terms with their responsibilities, but Hyesung tries his best to be the kind of mother his own never was to him.
I feel so bad for Hyesung because his feelings were completely disregarded by the person he loves most- Dojin. For the longest time, he can't stand to hear his mother mentioned, and I’m certain he never wanted his family to have any kind of interaction with someone like her.
You can’t force someone to reconcile with the very person who abandoned them. It’s entirely their choice whether they want to or not.
