according to some other comments, many people tried imitating paula and her voice to get close to the ML.
i feel like my point still stands a bit but it's justifiable that he doesn't immediately believe it's her
i still cannot believe he doesn't recognize her from voice alone. i know she described her appearance differently, but i would've expected a "your voice reminds me of someone" by now at minimum.
like she was the only one by his side for so long, would read him stories, comforted him etc. and you're telling me, the formerly BLIND man. the man who had to heighten his other senses (like hearing) because he was blind, can't recognize her voice?? not even a tad bit???
