Honestly i kinda dislike it even more when they first introduce rpe, sa, abuse, etc and then turn it into a love story. Cz i cannot believe smth like this could be or should be forgiven. I am a fan of healthy green flag relationships. But the art here is so good and the setting is a bit crazy, so i am not ready to drop it yet.
Same and if writers are introducing something like SA, abuse etc to add a darker element to the story, then admit that they are only together because now both of them are psychologically fucked up. It's a Stockholm syndrome type of situation. No character you've supposedly build to be a strong minded character will ever get past that level of abuse in 3 chapters. Like C'mon. At least make the pay off intresting.

Well, the rpe was kinda expected, you could tell they are not in a kinda relationship which is romatic or anything. One tried to kill the other, the last scene in that haunted house was also kinda telling that the top would not be gentle at all, and they had a bad history. So nothing surprising here and kinda fitting. Idk if the author try to change it into a love till death us part later but that would be weird twist if they do... In short not normalising rpe or anything but after all preshadwing it is an expected and logical outcome.
