It's a thing in korean/japanese/chinese comic not sure why can't say its just how they convey "a cute character" if it's years of art stylization or I once saw a story telling teacher discussing the possibility of it being a cultural thing youth and naivety where once a thing wanted in a love match and these cute older characters being a sort of
Vestigial bone since it's not acceptable to have such young matches in today's society(thankfully)
