i also love it when authors write their male leads having unobtainable wealth and romanticizing it while simultaneously having a main character who is a regular citizen, who works hard to purchase necessary things, like glasses, and then laughs in our face and make the male lead the most insufferable bitch by undermining all their hard work and never addressing their hardship. just playing in our faces
