Can we just appreciate how Carcel patiently let Ines vent out her anger first? She was able to voice out her frustration and pain, and Ik the relief that feels from being able to do so.
I also love that he cleared it up with her right away. Both of them have been transparent with what they feel here. Ines was true to her feelings instead of keeping it a secret and distancing herself (god this would’ve been painful for a few chapters) and Carcel cleared up about the medications and why he did it. Also applaud Ines’ courage to admit that she does love him. The repeated “I love you” to make sure Carcel fully understands that she does feel that way about him. Ik that, that must’ve been a relief for Carcel too. After all that he’s found out, he’s been feeling guilty and resentful with himself. Ines doesn’t even know how this reassurance meant for him.
