From what I have gathered so far, the majority sides with Andrew despite the fact that the author tried to frame this as both Andrew and Luke having good points in their argument.

Luke knew his friends longer than Andrew, so from his point of view, he understands them better. However, this is a point of view that isn't given to us the reader. Instead, we are constantly given the point of view where Bruno is doing terrible things behind Luke's back. In other words, despite their argument may have been sound on paper, the author has unfortunately crafted a scenario where we knew Andrew was correct, hence most of us would instinctively side with Andrew.

The consequence of this is Luke looking incredibly foolish and hypocritical. Despite being framed as an understanding person, Luke doesn't give the same grace to his own boyfriend.

Now my question is, is this the author's intention? I don't understand the purpose of portraying Luke like this. I normally enjoy characters with flaws, and I prefer to see things from different point of views, but the writing thus far doesn't give me much leverage to side with Luke. It's like the author wanted to highlight Luke's flaws, went a bit too far, and now Luke went from a flawed person to an unlikable one. Which is crazy because I used to prefer Luke over Andrew, and now I just ended up not liking anyone.
