Jihwan is written well as a mirror to his father. I'm pretty sure Jihwan said to his father that he'd never be like him and would do better for someone he loved. But look at him now. Jihwan is acting just like his father, and has mental problems like his mom. Jihwan, whether he knows it or not, has subconsciously learned how to love from his father (which is toxic). If Jihwan couldn't love properly, he should've at least paid for Sooyoung's bills or smth.
I honestly don't know how the story will end, but I'm rlly curious to see if Jihwan and Sooyoung will reconcile or not. And if Jihwan will treat his mental problem properly and actually learn to be better for Sooyoung.
