Just recently started reading and I've got the feeling that his brother took the job as a producer despite him literally being able do anything else because of his brother...
My theory being that.. Mc said before that he has wanted to be an idol since he was a kid. So perhaps mc told his brother about this and the brother remembers this about him and picked the job as a producer in hopes of one day editing in programs his younger brother is in and try to give him a little boost/help...
