Can't anymore

I've lasted 43 chapters so that's saying something. But I've been bothered by so many things I'll drop this.

1. The comments. Why is everyone so bothered that she went on a weight loss journey? Everyone is like 'omg she's not even that fat', 'why does she need to lose weight? She's fine', 'I hate that they made her skinny'.

First, she's NOT skinny (in her world). She explicitly stated that the saintess, the pregnant lady, and the other girls at the party was skinnier than her. Even the art didn't make her model skinny.

She decided to lose weight because of her health. She couldn't even take a long walk because she's constantly exhausted. She is also severely depressed and as they say, a healthy body breeds a healthy mind. AND even if she was doing it just for looks, so what? It's not a terrible thing to do . So she likes to look beautiful and get compliments from others. Why is that so wrong?

Furthermore, it's realistic that she was getting skinnier slowly. It's not like she went poofed and was skinny (like I became the ugly lady), or changed her skin tone and was called gorgeous (like the ugly duckling).

Everyone is calling it out like the whole manhwa is a fat shaming slogan. It's not, it's just a story of an unhealthy and severely depressed lady.

2. The stupidity. We all know early on that the temple had something to do with it, yet it dragged for tens of chapter, with each point being handfed to us to conclude that the temple did it. Like??? We know.

There was also the whole genius plot to find out what happens to these 'consultations' with the temple. She found out that she was being hypnotized and the priest was even hypnotized in turn. And she asked TWO QUESTIONS???

Then proceeded to wonder more questions like what the black mist was, how the black mist was created, what they meant by she was dangerous to the world, and having no answer. YOU SHOULD'VE ASKED THAT EARLIER THEN WHEN YOU HAD HIM LITERALLY HYPNOTIZED?????

If that was me I'll ask so many questions and more. Do they want her dead or just depressed? Why are they hypnotizing her? Is she a threat to the world or the temple? Who is the mastermind/boss behind all this? Does it have something to do with divine power or the duke? Why is the priest's hair white? What's his weight?

3. No appeal. The storytelling is meh. Also, her affection for the saintess is a bit sudden. She was even struggling to like the duke and the maids. She met the saintess less than five times and suddenly she feels really connected to her. I get it it's about the divine power yada yada, but her soft spot for the saintess given that the same saintess is the source of her jealousy with her husband, is a bit... rushed? Pushed? Idk.

Therefore, I am probably dropping this at 43 chapters.

I'll leave it here for the future me to decide whether you're desperate enough for entertainment to continue reading this.
