Since you've already been spoiled by the other comment, lol, I will say that this is because he was kinda toxic in a past life. This is the seme's second chance at this lifetime so he tries to make up for his past actions. Also, he's past life actions aren't too bad and kinda understandable from his POV he just had one incident of a really bad thing he did to uke which happened to be the final straw that led to uke's death. Th other straws were from other characters not the seme. Once finding all this out uke has an actual reasonable reaction but I won't spoil anymore. READ IT!!!
