I'm grateful that the issue of the parents/grandma was left aside, because I'm more interested in the story between Byul and Siwoo. The author had the opportunity to resolve some dramas in the first manga and she didn't, so for me it doesn't make sense for her to bring up the same drama again.
Edit: I didn't explain it well enough, but what didn't make sense to me was the author bringing up something she wrote poorly, so to speak. What she'll probably want to do now is portray the grandma as a good person, which nobody wants, so I thought it would have been better if she had left that plot aside from the beginning.
