Because he’s a child who doesn’t know the full story? You honestly can’t expect kids to fully comprehend and do/not do something, if they don’t know why they should or shouldn’t. We HOPE that some things go without saying.. But some kids literally just don’t have a clue unless you spell it out for them. It’s actually a common occurrence in broken families, that kids always gravitate towards the family members who are not around and toxic. Idk why, but they just do.
In this situation I think the only one who should be held accountable is Dojin. Idiot gets away with everything. Hyesung is so much more mature now, and I think that’s partly what this storyline is trying to show.

And yeah, hyesung might have become more mature sure, but that shouldnt mean the author should take advantage of that and make him a pushover for the sole purpose of relationship progress for the new mcs. This wouldve helped byul in his own development too. Like, at least make him see the situation in hyesung’s shoes. What if hyesung didnt come back, and just abandoned him completely? But then suddenly when he grows up successful and all over the news, suddenly the person that gave birth to him and abandoned him suddenly came back asking for forgiveness. That just seems fishy af, and would definitely make someone think their just back for some money. Yes, he’s a kid so make him understand why what he and his dad did was wrong, at least. Jfc

“Why should i care about something i dont remember” i got a better question, why would you trust the person that abandoned ur dad?
