i agree that they’re dragging out the redemption arc hella but flashbacks are still important ya’ll… it def builds their dynamic and chemistry more since we never really got an actual glimpse of it all before (except funny moments of their past). we just got the impression they were inseparable and close, but now we truly saw the extent of it — how dependent they are on each other and why they like each other as well… and also why mincheol is so scared to lose it all
kinda puts weight on how important and serious it is that they’re separated, because this is most likely the first birthday they haven’t celebrated with each other in a whole decade
