Fargo has always been like this; it handles sensitive topics superficially. It's clear that no matter how badly a character acts, they are forgiven (Even when it comes to r*p3 )But also I was really surprised by how many people supported Chowon, since that guy is also a piece of shit, almost as bad as Dojin, and speaking of Dojin, what's up with the author? Why does she insist Making Dojin into the most infamous character of his career, hahaha, he either hates him or loves him so much that no matter what he does, She always forgives him and gives him his happy ending.

Personally i don't like how the author went about the whole grandma situation. It really made her presence obsolete and cruel. Really her only purpose was to push the romance between the main characters (which in that case they could have gone about it in a better way). It's just one of those things that I see some authors doing where they add more sensitive topics to further the plot but don't feel like or know how to actually address them with any type of depth.
