Just the idea of an abused falling for the abuser is so sad.just because the abuser shows a bit kindness...Not only the face that matches the one that caused the victim so much pain its just the same person with different soul,its just so tragic,the person that has taken so much for you eventually comes to become the one you love .Idk why historical romance romantacize this trope so much bit ill never be comfortable with this
