I mean, not the end of the world, but it’s always kind of funny how desperate Korean authors are to dump a “they were childhood friends” trope into their romance story. I say desperate because a lot of the time not only does it not add anything to the narrative, it just doesn’t make sense that one or both characters didn’t remember or took so comically long to figure it out, especially when the memories are from high school. It almost always feels rushed and sloppy. The story has been developing fine, so it’s not really necessary.
