Kuon and Sniper - was honestly annoyed when it kept going to this direction - it seemed like the artist was having fun having blurry lines between sibling-like relationship and romance
Sniper and Sniper - it could have been a cute development
Yuri and Rika's friends - anyone of them who seemed interested in her. Although not really a love interest, but I thought there would be an arc where they would be like "I admire her" or more of "she's so cool" situation considering the other scenes
Yuri and Guo (?) - damn I wasn't expecting that clean splash to completely cut off this potential interest
Yuri and Nise - when I wasn't rooting for Yuri and Makoto, I was convinced this was open to shoujo ai
Yuri and Rika - I'm not being crazy, but I swear I could see the artist making it a little bit more than siscon-brocon situation. Kinda confirmed this thought when it was revealed they weren't related. Like damn? no way in hell
Addtl thoughts: i still feel like it wasn't the artist's intentions to end it at that point. Seeing as how the Great Angel seemed to have more in its storyline. Since he was also introduced, restructured (idk how to call it), and given a role.
Plus the ending. It's any among the following: (1) there were some circumstances that led the artist to stop (includes lack of resources) (2) the artist was getting bored continuing this (common among writers) (3) the world building was getting too large, the artist no longer knows how to continue it. Thus ending it abruptly
