Why do I feel like the mc is the reincarnation but in the past he kinda break up with seme, maybe there's some betrayal or misunderstanding, or uke lied to him and tricked him – maybe uke's family is the one who influenced the misunderstanding, and the seme hated him/his family (and he went on rampage) that made him accidentally kill uke or uke's village or something. I'm throwing any cliches possibilities here lol.
Because it feels like the seme kinda "desperate" for their feelings to be mutual (?) so maybe uke in the past acted like a lover and then betrayed him. Possibly due to uke's hatred or vengeance, so that's why he's unsure about uke's real feelings. Like maybe seme was kinda evil and hurt someone precious for the uke (accidentally or deliberately), so uke took revenge by betraying the seme when seme had feeling for him, something like that lmao...
