Although I'm biased because I dropped the original novel of TBATE YEARS ago when at one point everything and everyone began pissing me off. I have no idea if the story got better after I dropped it though :/
Well, if you want something a bit more light-hearted and prefer wholesome character interactions rather than pure action (like me) then definitely TOTCF, otherwise you'll probably prefer something like The beginning after the end which a lot of people like, it's just personal preference
Trash of the count’s family is better in every single way. Read it first. Unless you really love trashy power fantasy stuff for some reason, in which case TBATE I guess. Honestly I did not like TBATE at all.
This made me feel better because I only ever see people talking positively about TBATE, I felt like I was being too picky lmao
