Idk why authors always wanna use real medical terms when they wanna create a fantasy illness...
Face blindness doesnt mean they can't see faces/ facial features/ expressions, its when the brain cannot connect the face to a person they know - basically that connecting piece is missing in their brain either from birth or injury hence its not curable either... people who have it will manage it by identifying people through other means like voice, style, movements etc and live relatively normal lives (tho ofc ppl who get it later in life will have a harder time adjusting)
