Okay, so like I’m a person who gets triggered fast. My threshold for noticing pressure tactics is very low because of how I grew up. In my environment, standing up for yourself wasn’t optional. If I cried after getting bullied, my mom wasn’t comforting me;she'll beat my ass for crying instead of fighting back. That kind of upbringing forces you to identify manipulation, intimidation, and social pressure immediately because missing the signs equals getting hit twice: once by the bully, once at home—verbally and physically.
Now, Sienna didn’t grow up like that. Her environment didn’t condition her to recognize these cues or defend herself. So yes, she’s mentally weak in this situation, but that weakness was shaped by her upbringing. It didn’t come out of nowhere.
Anyway, back to the actual point: none of this changes the fact that Lorena’s tactics still fail the basic definition of manipulation. They lack subtlety, plausibility, and strategic groundwork. What happened only worked because Sienna was unprepared, not because Lorena was some mastermind. (To be more direct, Lorena is stupid , but Sienna is stupider, and an additional trait: pathetic (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.))
Lorena is basically ragebaiting at this point instead of manipulating. If I was in Sienna's shoes, Lorena's gonna taste a slap of reality.
And how come people (background characters) in stories like these can't notice shits? I rarely find a story where background characters have their own individual minds. This is why most narratives like this feels too flat; they're two-dimensional. I can only find dynamic background characters that act life-like are from popular webnovels/comics with a global fandom.
Btw, you don't go revealing you hate your victim before they die. I don't know why most stories keep doing this. More despair? Nah, too shallow for a reason. Just smile at them as you watch them despair. Don't answer whatever things they ask, let them be desperate and be frustrated over it. Never reveal your intentions, tsk tsk. See what happened to Lorena, ain't that stupidity? She wasn't able to get what she wants cuz she be flapping her mouth like that. Real manipulation is not built through theatrical dialogues bruh.
