I guess moral of the story is never involve yourself helping a person exhibiting trauma? lmao I don’t get what I’m supposed to think abt this is just the BAD END type story that you see in video games I just don’t understand why. why choose to have a character be the only one offering kindness to a child be the own who suffers the most because of that decision? if mc never helped the ml all of this would have never happened to him so my takeaway is that he should have never involved himself and let the child die. there was no alternative route where the ml wasn’t going to have this mind set no matter what the mc did. if the mc never left if this is how he acted just when the mc got married, he would have turned into the same messed up person because it didn’t take much for him to go from pining after the mc to raping him. I say that because even if someone says “no it’s because the ml’s trauma made it so that the mc leaving broke him” then that means he was always someone who could snap at just one needle prick. something was always gonna push him over so the minute the mc decided to care for the ml he doomed himself and the decision of caring would cause the death of people he loved. the mc staying wouldn’t have changed much, the mc saying goodbye in person wouldn’t have done anything, because all it took was a moment for him to switch up. and you aren’t entitled to anyone’s romantic love, I really really just do not fuck with what this whole thing has been leading up to. if the mc stayed, him not loving him back in that way would have been what pushed the ml to the edge, the mc spending time with another man would have pushed him over the edge. this isn’t the “misunderstanding plotline” ppl making it out to be, the ml was always going to betray the mc the minute the mc saved him. and yea raping him is betrayal is everyone forgetting all the mc wanted to do was LEAVE the minute after seeing the ml was physically healthy? that is the extent to his true self’s feelings. everything else is a result of sexual violence. there is no mutual love because the mc’s true will would have left no matter what the ml said when they reunited.
