My General Thoughts

I don't think people care enough to read this but I read Yaoi specifically in regards to my gender identity. I feel its inherently complex especially with Caesar. I feel he meets the criteria for ASPD. In which he genuinely does not understand human interaction which differs between him and his lover. The dependency subtly shown throughout the Manhwa was very strong( ̄へ ̄). However towards the end when they showed Lee Won and his mother it was a million percent rushed. I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to these complex characters.

I also noticed some parallels with the psychological horror Killing Stalking. Sometimes it was the colorings, sometimes it was the clothes or hairstyles. A common theme in the normalization of non-con and dub-con in these manhwas are insane tops. I feel it really downs on the fact that a lot of these "bottoms" are victims! The period of time where the two were having sex for almost 7-10 days--was insane! Props to the writer and artists but everything was extremely rushed. We had no time to read about Caesars mother and little to no information about his father. While Lee-Won gets chapters dedicated to his father alone but not his mother. I noticed that just because a character is not physically there--writers tend to forget about them. Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

Caesar overall is an extremely complex character which is why he shows disregard for others feelings. It was programmed within him by his father. Notice how after Mr. Loso steps down from the mafia you see him more cheery and happy? However that's another difference. The Sergeevs are inherently programmed to behave like killing machines. Moreover the Loso's have a small amount of space for love. We also don't see more of Mr. Loso's backstory. See everything is just really rushed. There is so much more to each character but it kind of rushed to close. I wish we got more of Leonid and Dimitry, I enjoyed their conflicts when they met throughout the manhwa.

There are also many examples of problems in this manhwa. For example, the power imbalance between the two. I understand Lee-Won wants to try to teach his lover about human interaction, but that can be extremely hard. Often times he was also referred to as a civilian or the damned lawyer. However, Caesar who was born with money and power had never been disrespected like Lee-Won had faced. Another factor I noticed was corruption. I know its fictional, but it makes me think if its relating to real events and spinning off on it--or just a freaky writer. I feel it highlights how money and power does rule the world. How does Caesar get away with so much when his boyfriends a freaking lawyer. Make it make sense. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

This manhwa was inherently complex but definitely not my cup of tea. To all the people finding the rape and assault in this manhwa attractive please get your heads checked. SA and staying with your lover during abuse should not be normalized. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
