Said it before, will say it again before returning to present day

I love this story. (/TДT)/ As I see it, SY loved CG to an unnatural degree, to an immoral degree even, since he wanted to raise and care for this child in order to be his everything. Once SY was CG’s everything, his morality told him 1. That was wrong because he was being secretly too selfish by wanting CG to rely on him. 2. CG’s attachment was unhealthy, even if SY wanted it. So, SY adhered to the social norms of his context and escaped their co-dependent relation, appealing to these same social norms but also to his altruist wish of seeing CG be more confident, grow and become as beautiful as SY saw him. I wish present CG becomes a better king and SY accepts his repressed feelings! Idgaf about those who don’t like the story, I think it’s beautiful writing (▰˘◡˘▰)

Yess you get it.thank u for voicing out my thoughts so clearly. I knew something was up from s1 when SY didnt crash out over being fking raped instead he felt ??guilty?? Like sir you are being too soft on him what. Then when he harshly reprimanded him after claiming he hates being by side and should find a queen, he held CG’s face, the reflection in his eyes showed the outline of young CG and that stopped him dead in his tracks.

Yeah its wrongly placed guilt, its wrong and everything is so grey but it makes for such a good story

Grahhhh i love the writing its so damn peak.
