From my memory… kings control sections of the afterworld. Reapers are sinned souls who work for the afterworld to atone for what they did. Goblin are not part of this corporation, they exist outside of it. They are creatures born from special items, they have their own superpower, but they need to get Yang energy from living beings to persist. Historically afterworld has been trying to make the goblins part of it but never succeeded. Many years ago a human cut off a goblin’s hand due to superstition, which triggered other goblins to hunt human. Afterworld declared goblins “bad” and hunted them back as a result. Hence the war they were talking about. Finally they took away the goblin’s leader aka Dongbaek, and they have been sort of in a Cold War since then.
1. Dongbaek is hot af I didn’t know I needed him but now I do. 2. Yama is too cute in new art style, I prefer more sleep-deprived and mature look in the beginning. 3. I have no idea about the underworld politics, can someone explain, what is the relationship between kings, reapers and goblins, are there other groups??
