kinda disappointed to see so many people misunderstand naguru

but i get it as well, he isnt a pure likeable character and that's part of what i appreciate. he knows what he wants, he wants companionship. his connection with herapi started as a fascination with his awkward straightforwardness and to me it reads as if it gradually grew into him being fond of him to them both developing a mutual understanding of each other.

herapi is pushy, his love has no real substance except for falling for naguru at first sight, realistically. remember that we dont even know him and his background as well as naguru. imagine someone as naive and almost shallow like herapi pester you to up and change your whole lifestyle with no concrete plan of the future, he isnt very communicative either. i understand why naguru essentially had to test his commitment with the duel.

lets not gloss over naguru being detained, the gang stuff was starting to get more serious, and even naguru's closest buddy started building his life with a family and offered naguru stability by being in business with him. i think all this, the pressure + the longing for his hometown and meaningful connections all played into his reaction.

now herapi shows up at his doorstep with a kid. i think that was just when naguru finally saw his future with herapi and seized that chance. and i happen to think theyre more complete as a unit with the 3 of them :}

i hope to see more of their daily life in the future!! and overall i really like the relationship dynamic! one of sensei's more... understated works
maybe their love isnt as unconditional or outward and expressed as in other works out there but thats something i dont really look for in stories as an aroace ehe the comfortable moments and warm silence make me feel content enough with this story.
