If you are doubting, just know that this is a good read. Many people feel uncomfortable about the age gap in their relationship, and that reaction is completely valid. However, in the historical setting of the story, marriages with large age differences were legally and socially accepted. They were often arranged by families for practical or political purposes rather than for romance.

From the ML’s perspective, he may have developed feelings for her, but he is fully aware that she is still a child. Cos of this, he makes a conscious effort to respect her boundaries, support her needs, and avoid acting on emotions that he knows would be inappropriate. His behavior reflects his understanding of the moral limits of their situation, despite the expectations of the society they live in.

Their marriage was not based on personal choice but was arranged due to political pressure. During that era, families and kingdoms believed that securing alliances through marriage was essential for survival, especially during times of war. Producing an heir was seen as a duty tied to stability and power, which explains why young individuals were sometimes pushed into these roles, even though it is clearly unacceptable by today’s standards.

I want to be clear that I am not justifying or defending the idea of forcing children into marriage. I am only explaining the historical context and the mindset of the period, so readers can understand why these characters were placed in such circumstances and why the story unfolds the way it does.ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
