I actually searched up the lore behind the book title

So the book Jaheon wrote is called The Kodoku Legend for Children. I searched up what the kodoku legend was and what I got was this wiki page on kodoku: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodoku

So according to the legend, insects were put in the jar and made to fight to death until one survived. The survivor's fluid would then be used to poison a person with a curse that would control them, cause them misfortune, or kill them. The remaining insect could also be used as a lucky charm to gain wealth in return of feeding the insect. Another lore is that this poison can change a person's personality.

So as you can see, it matches a lot with what happened with Mugo. He was put in a jar/barrel and used as some sort of sacrifice. Instead of one insect, he has this snake motif and and different personalities. I don't know how that comes into play with the snake thing because this entire time I thought it was the lore of how a snake needs to swallow a sacrifice to turn into a dragon thing. But here, the author is dropping a different hint. Mugo is the survivor insect that can be used to gain riches and in exchange he gets fed, a new sacrifice every 12 years. If he isn't fed, then a tragedy will befall on the family that is using his powers.

It's almost 4 in the morning so I can't go into an in depth analysis on all this but things are starting to click more in my head. I am gonna be devastated if all this is wrong. I truly wanna know Mugo's back story. Is Jerk Mugo the survivor? Was he made to fight his siblings to the death in the barrel and his guilty consciousness has them appear before him? Or is it the lore that the poison created from the insects can change someone's personality so all of these different Mugos are fake and there is only one Mugo that was supressed by the poison? I said I won't go into an in depth analysis but my brain is churning out so many ideas.
