But what about Yousuke? Why would anyone think he would be happy being away from the person you love for YEARS. Not a few months and close enough you can visit once a month but half way across the world. Senpai isn't the only one insecure and jealous in this relationship. I wouldn't do it. That is trading ambition for happiness. You will never get that time back.
I know that long distance relationship is hard (because I've been there too), and I understand completely about Arimura's feeling. Of course it's hard not to be able to see each other often anymore, and the despair is real when you miss someone and want to hug them but they are so far away from us, like in another country or continent.
But you can't restrain someone's future just because you're not ready of letting them go a bit away. It might be hard at some times, like misunderstanding and fights, different timezones, things will only get busier for both of them and finally will drive them a bit apart, etc. However, it will be worth it. All of it. Because if you really love each other, then I'm sure that both of you would find a way to maintain your relationship as good as ever, to overcome all of the obstacles.
