Will be defending abigail

My poor girl, she’s just scared that she’s gonna be alone in the end, while Eloise has an invisible disability and she can go on with her life and even still be attainable (which has its flaws as Eloise described where men perceived her as more of an object than person) while Abigail will be left behind, as her disability is physical and cannot be hidden. I think that’s one thing I do like about this story, it’s perspectives on disabilities.

Would you like a spoiler? I have only read the novel up to the free sections but I have heard rumors in the forums from those who have read ahead.

I actually read their first meeting and it was very natural. She comes from a rural community who, like you pointed out, thinks her disability makes her too defective for dating. She drops her cane and he nonchalantly picks it up and gives is back to her. He's been to war so not only would he have seen people who need these devices, he also knows they aren't helpless or defective. The boys needed directions, got all muddy, and Abigail is the only one home because everyone else went to the ball. She allows them to clean up and goes with them, making up the distance she and Eloise have been feeling lately once she's there. I haven't got more tidbits but the end game on the forums seems to be confirmed as:

    Phillip + Abigail

I asked if you wanted a spoiler simply because seeing them in the manwha has got me shipping so hard for this side couple. I can see them sitting on the bank, him fishing and she either doing it with him or sitting in the shade reading a book. They look so cute in my head.
