ok honestly i was upset initially hearing that MC was named by 2nd ML but if you guys read the novel it goes into much more detail about it happened. MC had actually asked 2nd ML to name him and wanted him to name him (if i’m remembering correctly) bc for the imae tribe, being named by someone is super important and ties the namer’s soul to the imae or something which is why normally you’re named by a parent or the chief at a young age. For obvious reasons MC didn’t want the ML to be the one who’s he would be tied to so he chose the 2nd ML. any guess on how ML will react? but read the novel it gives so much more insight on MC’s inner thoughts, struggles, and feelings
